Guwahati: Vice President C P Radhakrishnan is scheduled to undertake a two-day visit to Assam on September 6 and 7, during which he will attend several academic and public programmes in the state. Radhakrishnan is scheduled to arrive at Guwahati airport at around 10 am on September 6. During his visit, he will attend the golden jubilee celebrations of Geetanagar College at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati.

The Vice President is also scheduled to participate in a university convocation during his stay in Assam. In addition, he will attend a civic reception as part of his engagements in the state. The visit is expected to provide an opportunity for interaction with students, academicians, public representatives and citizens. His participation in the golden jubilee celebrations of Geetanagar College will mark an important occasion for the institution as it commemorates five decades of its academic journey.
Radhakrishnan’s visit comes as Assam continues to host a range of academic and institutional programmes aimed at strengthening higher education and public engagement. The Vice President is scheduled to conclude his Assam engagements on September 7 before departing the state. Officials have been making arrangements for the Vice President’s visit and the programmes scheduled during his two-day stay.
