Zubeen Garg Death Case: Fourth Singapore-Based Witness Records Statement

GUWAHATI, Sept 16: The hearing in the case concerning singer Zubeen Garg’s death continued before a fast-track court on Wednesday, with Debajit Hazarika becoming the fourth Assamese expatriate from Singapore to record his statement.

Hazarika was among those who attended the yacht party in Singapore on September 19, where Garg died. His deposition is expected to provide the court with further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Earlier, three Singapore-based witnesses — Parikshit Sharma, Sushmita Goswami and Pratim Lahkar — had appeared before the court and recorded their statements in connection with the case. They had also attended the yacht party.

The recording of witness statements forms part of the ongoing proceedings as authorities examine accounts of people who were present at the party or may have relevant information about the events surrounding Garg’s death.

With Hazarika’s deposition, statements from four Singapore-based witnesses who attended the yacht party have now been recorded as the legal proceedings continue.
