Imphal, May 5: Security forces on May 4 arrested an active member of the proscribed outfit Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup in Imphal East district as part of an operation linked to an ongoing investigation registered at Singjamei Police Station.
The arrested individual has been identified as Maibam Romio Singh, also known as Ronald, a 52-year-old resident of Singjamei Wangma Kshetri Leikai Mongkhang Lambi. Officials said he was apprehended from his residence following sustained investigation and specific intelligence inputs.
During the operation, security personnel seized a mobile phone and an Aadhaar card from his possession. Authorities have initiated further investigation to examine his alleged activities and links within the outfit.
