Runiel Debbarma Takes Oath as TTAADC Chief, Seeks Higher Funding for Development

Agartala, May 6: Runiel Debbarma on May 6 assumed office as the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council, pledging to work for the welfare of all residents in the council areas while seeking enhanced financial support for development initiatives.

At the swearing-in ceremony, Chandra Kumar Debbarma also took oath as an Executive Member (EM) of the council.

Addressing the gathering after taking charge, Debbarma said he viewed the responsibility as an opportunity to serve the people with sincerity, transparency, and commitment. He noted that despite limited financial assistance from the state government, the council had continued to undertake development work over the past five years.

He stated that efforts would be made to secure increased budget allocations from both the state and central governments, in coordination with elected representatives, including MLAs and MDCs, as well as Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma.

Highlighting his prior experience as a Member of the District Council, Debbarma said it would help him address public needs more effectively. He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing development and ensuring inclusive growth across all sections of society within the council’s jurisdiction.
