New Delhi: The Men’s Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday included all-rounder Anukul Roy in the India A squad for the upcoming tri-series in Sri Lanka. Roy replaces left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey, who has earned his maiden call-up to India’s senior Test and ODI squads for the upcoming home series against Afghanistan national cricket team. The tri-series, featuring India A cricket team, Sri Lanka A cricket team and Afghanistan A cricket team, will be played in Dambulla from June 9 to June 21.

Star batter Tilak Varma has been appointed captain of the India A side, while Riyan Parag will serve as vice-captain. The squad also includes teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who has impressed in IPL 2026 with more than 500 runs this season. Other promising names in the squad include Priyansh Arya, Ayush Badoni, Nishant Sindhu, Suryansh Shedge, Vipraj Nigam, Yash Thakur and Anshul Kamboj.
The tournament will begin on June 9 with India A taking on Sri Lanka A, followed by a clash against Afghanistan A on June 11. The group stage will conclude on June 19, while the final is scheduled for June 21. Following the limited-overs tournament, India A will also play two multi-day matches against Sri Lanka A, with the squad for those fixtures to be announced later.
