Guwahati: Assam’s Dr. Bipul Das brought laurels to the state with an impressive performance at the 6th BCAI National Armwrestling Championship 2026, held in Bengaluru from June 12 to 14. Competing in the Senior Grand Master Category (86 kg), Dr. Das secured a Silver Medal in the Right-Hand event and a Bronze Medal in the Left-Hand event, showcasing remarkable strength and skill against some of the country’s top armwrestlers.

His outstanding performance at the national championship has earned him a place in Team India for the upcoming World Armwrestling Championship, scheduled to be held in Japan in September 2026.
