SONAPUR, Aug. 11: The ‘E’ Company of the 1st Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Sonapur, organised a painting competition at Lokhra on Tuesday as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
Held under the guidance of 1st Battalion Commandant Sunil Kaushik, the competition aimed to promote patriotism, national unity and respect for the National Flag among students and local residents.
Participants showcased their creativity through paintings based on themes of patriotism and national unity.
Naveen Chand, Assistant Commandant and Company Commander of ‘E’ Company, Lokhra, distributed prizes and certificates to the participants who secured the first, second and third positions. He also encouraged participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
During the programme, participants and local residents were briefed about the objectives of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and encouraged to hoist the National Flag at their homes on Independence Day.
The programme concluded in an enthusiastic and patriotic atmosphere, with active participation from students and members of the local community.
