AGARTALA, Oct 10: Tripura BJP MP and national general secretary Biplab Kumar Deb on Saturday said the NDA’s successive by-election victories in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry reflected public confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
In a statement, Deb said the electoral successes sent a clear message to Rahul Gandhi and the INDI Alliance, asserting that the results demonstrated continued public faith in Modi.
He urged Gandhi to respect the people’s mandate instead of questioning various institutions after every electoral defeat, adding that the people’s verdict was supreme in a democracy.
Deb congratulated the BJP leadership and party workers on the victories and extended his greetings to West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy.
He also congratulated the respective state party presidents and party workers, acknowledging their efforts behind the electoral successes.
