Guwahati, April 30: A man posing as a medical practitioner has been arrested by police in Guwahati after remaining absconding for an extended period, officials said.
The accused, identified as Rahim Badshah, was apprehended by Hatigaon Police during a special operation conducted in Barpeta.
According to police, he is accused of administering incorrect treatment to a patient while allegedly impersonating a qualified doctor. Authorities said the arrest followed efforts to trace him after the incident came to light.
Officials confirmed that further investigation is ongoing to ascertain the full extent of the alleged fraud and identify any additional victims or related offences.
