Udalguri DC Inspects Malaria-Hit Areas, Reviews Preventive Measures

Udalguri District Commissioner Jay Bikash on June 20 visited several malaria-prone areas of the district to review ongoing measures for the prevention and control of the disease and assess the need for additional interventions.

As part of the inspection, the District Commissioner visited a malaria testing camp near the New Primary Health Centre and toured vulnerable localities, including Natun Mati and Dhansiri Tea Estate, to evaluate the ground situation.

During his interaction with health officials, Bikash stressed the need for the Health Department to carry out its responsibilities efficiently and ensure effective implementation of anti-malaria measures. Adhikari, In-Charge Additional Superintendent of Mohaliapara Model Hospital; representatives of Dhansiri Tea Estate; Nazia Hasan of the Udalguri Unit of the National Vector Borne Disease Control Centre; and Virgil Sharma, Block Programme Manager of Orang Health Block, along with other departmental officers and staff.
