Morigaon Administration Observes Sok Divas to Remember Dhemaji Blast Victims

Morigaon, August 16: The Morigaon district administration observed Sok Divas at Tarun Ram Phukan Field on Sunday to remember those killed in the 2004 Dhemaji bomb blast during Independence Day celebrations and other victims of militant violence.

At 11 am, District Commissioner Srishti Singh, IAS, along with officials from the Deputy Commissioner’s office, heads of various departments and staff, observed a one-minute silence in memory of the victims.

The observance served as a reminder of the human cost of violence and terrorism. The district administration also took a pledge to oppose all forms of terrorism and work towards lasting peace, unity and harmony.

The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to uphold peace and communal harmony in society.
