Guwahati: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) on Thursday held a press meet to brief the media on preparations for the upcoming India-West Indies second ODI, scheduled to be played at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati on September 30. ACA President Taranga Gogoi addressed the press meet in the presence of Secretary Sanatan Das, Vice President Romen Dutta and Apex Council Member Mukutananda Bhattacharjya. Gogoi said Guwahati was entering a new phase in hosting major cricketing events, further strengthening the city’s position as an important venue for international cricket. He also acknowledged the guidance and support of BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia in facilitating the hosting of major cricket events in Assam.

The ACA office-bearers detailed the arrangements being made for the international fixture and expressed confidence that the match would be conducted smoothly at the ACA Stadium. Both teams are scheduled to arrive in Guwahati on September 28. The West Indies team will hold its practice session at the ACA Stadium from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm on September 29, while the Indian team will train from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm on the same day. The second ODI will begin at 2 pm on September 30.
Tickets for the match are available through BookMyShow. Student tickets have been priced at ₹500, while tickets for other stands start at ₹1,500. Hospitality packages are available in the range of ₹10,000 to ₹15,000. The ACA said details regarding parking arrangements and designated traffic routes would be shared at the next joint press meet. With both teams set to arrive shortly, Guwahati is gearing up for another international cricketing occasion, with fans from Assam and neighbouring regions expected to gather at the ACA Stadium for the match.
