Hojai: Under Assam government’s flagship scheme ‘Arohan’, 58 meritorious students from Hojai district set off on an educational tour aimed at broadening their academic horizons and boosting career aspirations. The trip was officially flagged off from the District Commissioner’s Office located at district headquarter Srimanta Sankardev Nagar, Hojai on Wednesday, by a student alongwith the Hojai District Commissioner Sanjay Dutta. Organized by Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Hojai, the tour will take students to premier national institutions in Guwahati, including the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

During the visit, the students will also participate in specialized career counseling sessions to help them define their future goals. Highlighting the vision behind the initiative, District Commissioner Sanjay Dutta emphasized that learning extends far beyond classroom walls. “This is not merely a sight-seeing trip; it is a transformative opportunity for students to gain hands-on exposure, interact with leading institutions, and build self-confidence,” he said. He encouraged the students to stay curious, ask questions, and make the most of this experiential learning opportunity. The ‘Arohan’ scheme aims to mentor talented students across the state, guiding them toward higher education and holistic career development.
