ROWTA, Aug. 10: The ‘A’ Company of the 1st Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Sonapur, organised a flag-hoisting ceremony and Tiranga March bicycle rally at Rowta Station High School in Udalguri district on Monday as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign-2026.
The programme aimed to promote patriotism, national unity and respect for the National Flag, besides creating awareness among students and the local community about the campaign.
A total of 77 students, 11 teachers and one Assam Police personnel participated in the programme. Eighteen SSB personnel, including three subordinate officers and 15 other ranks, also took part.
Students, teachers, Assam Police and SSB personnel participated in the bicycle rally, carrying the Tricolour and spreading the message of patriotism and national unity.
The event also sought to encourage local residents to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and strengthen community engagement.
The SSB said such programmes would promote patriotism, national unity, social harmony and public participation while strengthening its engagement with local communities.
