Sports Desk: Thomas Tuchel has unveiled his 26-member squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, with several high-profile omissions creating major discussion among football fans. Among the biggest names left out are Cole Palmer, Phil Foden and Harry Maguire. The exclusions came as a surprise, particularly after strong performances from some of the players during the club season. Morgan Gibbs-White, who impressed for Nottingham Forest FC, also failed to secure a place in the squad. Other notable absentees include Adam Wharton, Lewis Hall, Luke Shaw and Jarrod Bowen. Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford earned selection after playing a key role during his loan spell with FC Barcelona in their successful La Liga campaign. Tuchel is expected to rely heavily on Rashford’s attacking versatility during the tournament.
